It is with a combination of sadness and gratitude that the East End Food Co-op Board of Directors announces the resignation of Andrew Ritchie and Arianna Garofalo. We thank them for their work and commitment to the EEFC during their time on the board and wish them the best in their future endeavors.
The EEFC Board is looking for new directors who are willing to attend monthly meetings and take on various projects and assignments to help our Co-op grow and prosper in accord with our Ends Policy Statement. The targeted time commitment is 10-15 hours per month. The time commitment can vary based on governance issues the board is handling.
Terms for the new directors will end in 2018 and 2020 respectively.
Applicants must be current, fully-paid member-owners of the Co-op.
Our guidelines for selecting the new director include:
A passion for and a belief in the EEFC Ends, cooperative values, and the Co-op movement.
Willingness to learn about how the EEFC Board works, such as: willingness to go to workshops, interest in learning about Policy Governance procedures, interest in the Co-op’s history.
Specialized skills, such as law, HR and personnel, accounting, grocery operations, medical/health, finance, or conflict management
