Each February, our co-op has the privilege of sponsoring the annual PASA, Sustainable Agriculture Conference. This year’s conference took place in Lancaster, PA, from February 6-9. The schedule was packed with food and farming education sessions, inspiring keynote addresses, and a very touching PASAbilities awards ceremony where Pittsburgh’s own Black Urban Gardeners & Farmers Co-op (BUGS) was honored for their leadership in the farming community. The conference really served as a reminder of our co-op’s place in building a sustainable food system. It was an honor to connect with the farmers who bring us healthy, delicious, sustainable food that is grown with care, love, and compassion.
