Construction Junction – Sells and accepts donations of used and surplus building materials and home improvement materials at a fraction of the cost. Free pickups and on-site salvage services available. Address: 214 North Lexington Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15208
Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse – A fun non-profit organization that can create a second life for your unwanted crafting, sewing, office, and miscellaneous creative goods. Their needs for items can change, so be sure to check their material donation page before gathering up your items. Address: 214 North Lexington Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15208
CAP Glass – One of the nation’s largest recyclers of glass; various grades of glass including Amber, Flint and Green accepted. They are open 24 hours a day/6 days a week. Address: 1556 Mt. Pleasant-Connellsville Road, Mt. Pleasant, PA 15666 (use 1005 Modulus Rd. in GPS).
Appliance Warehouse – Polystyrene (Styrofoam) can be dropped off for recycling at Appliance Warehouse during business hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. Please call ahead: 412-381-8800. Address: 20 south 6th Street, Pittsburgh PA 15203
- e-Loop, llc – Consumers can recycle a wide variety of electronics, light bulbs, and batteries and trade in cell phones during business hours 10 am to 5 pm. Fees may apply. Address: 2010 Borland Farm Road, Export, PA 15632
Evolution E-Cycling – Consumers may drop off cell phones, computers, and electronic e-waste at 12 participating Guardian Storage locations. Restrictions include no light bulbs, ballasts or single use batteries, power tools, freon containing devices, household appliances, or personal hygiene related items. Address: multiple locations
Pennsylvania Resources Council – Hosts recycling collection events for household chemicals and hard-to-recycle items throughout the year. Visit their website for information on recycling events specific to your area. Hosting a gathering? Order a zero-waste kit and Certified Compostable Serviceware straight from their site! If you are looking for somewhere to recycle glass, visit one of their pop-up recycling events.
I am sorry it was the East-End Drop off site of the City of Pittsburgh that I was looking for. EEFC does not do recycling. Sorry for the confusion.

Do you recycle used cooking oil? City of Pittsburgh website led me here, but I don’t see anything. EEFC was named as a drop off site.
