  • 1 cup of lentils (washed and drained)
  • 3 cups of water or broth
  • spices and vegetables (optional)


  1. Add water and lentils to a pot.
  2. Add veggies and spices if desired.
  3. Cover and bring to a boil. Immediately reduce heat and simmer until soft.
