Ingredients

  • 1 cup of rice
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 tbsp. of butter

Instructions

  1. Combine 2 cups water to 1 cup rice and 1 tbsp butter (optional) in a pot with a light fitting lid.
  2. Bring to a boil. Stir once. Cover with lid.
  3. Reduce heat to simmer and cook 50 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat without lifting lid: let stand in covered pot for 10 minutes.
  5. Fluff with fork: salt to taste (optional).
