Ingredients

  • 1 cup of barley
  • 2 1/2 - 3 cups of water

Instructions

  1. Use 2 ½ to 3 cups liquid to 1 cup barley.
  2. Bring water or broth to a boil. Add barley and stir. Cover and reduce heat.
  3. Cook 35 to 40 minutes. Or presoak overnight in a ratio of 2 parts liquid to 1 part grain and cook 15 minutes.
