Ingredients

  • 1 cup of beans
  • 3 cups of water

Instructions

  1. Wash Beans, drain.
  2. Cover with cold water, discard floaters, soak 4-8 hours.
  3. Drain add 3 cups of fresh water for every cup of beans.
  4. Cover, bring to a boil.
  5. Simmer until soft.
  6. Add onion, bay, salt, and peppercorn if desired.
  7. Cook approx 1 hour.
