This wild rice is made with a parching method that is non-abrasive and yields nice dark grained rice. It is the largest, plumpest, and the ripest of all the wild rice harvested in the US and Canada. Cook time 70-90 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of rice
- 2 1/2 cups of water
- 1/4 tsp. of salt (optional)
Instructions

Rinse 1 cup dry rice.

Bring 2½ cups water and ¼ tsp salt (optional) to boil, , add rice, cover, reduce to simmer for 45 minutes.

Yields 3 cups cooked rice.
