Organic Dark Red Kidney Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of beans
  • 3 cups of water

Instructions

  1. Wash beans and drain.
  2. Cover with cold water, discard floaters and soak 4 to 8 hours in a cool place.
  3. Drain and add 3 cups of fresh water for every cup of beans. Cover and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer until soft, approx. 1½ hours.
